Jordi Salvador Bernadí, CEO of BCN Drone Centre, discusses how even today, the current level of drone autonomy in the industry can create revenue. However, he emphasises the need to keep improving, as some use cases have not found that to be the case yet. Jordi speaks about the innovation nowadays, where we are slowly progressing to having fewer pilots for more drones, and how in the future we may reach a stage where pilots do not need to be used for the drones. While certain use cases, such as medical delivery, have become very successful, Jordi believes that the industry needs to progress to more use cases which are growing, such as grocery delivery.
